3CX IP-PBX v 11 SIP.US Trunk Configuration

3CX SIP.US CONFIG INSTRUCTIONS

1) Install and confirm 3CX v11 running on Windows 

2) When setting up VoIP Provider, choose GENERIC SIP TRUNK under Provider Box, Country is GENERIC

 

3) For the VOIP Provider Details:

SIP server hostname or IP = gw1.sip.us (use gw2.sip.us if setting up a backup trunk to our secondary SIP proxy)

SIP Server port = 5060

Outbound proxy hostname or IP = LEAVE THIS BLANK

Outbound proxy port = 5060

 

 4) Under Account Details, fill in these values

External Number = YOUR SIP.US TRUNK ID NUMBER (found on the SIP.US Control Panel, usually starts with ’52’)

Simultaneous Calls = Number of SIP Trunk channels you have purchased for this trunk

5) Under Advanced tab:

Provider Capabilities - Check the ‘PBX Delivers Audio’ and ‘Disable Video’ boxes

Registration Settings:

Time between registration attempts = 60

Require Registration =  Incoming Calls

Which IP to use in ‘Contact’ field for registration = EXTERNAL (STUN RESOLVED)

Codec Priorities = G.711 U-law (we also support G.729 for low bitrate applications, however G.711 U-law is recommended)

 

 6) Under the General tab:

Provider Details:

SIP server hostname or IP = gw1.sip.us (use gw2.sip.us if setting up a backup trunk to our secondary SIP proxy)

SIP Server port = 5060

Outbound proxy hostname or IP = LEAVE THIS BLANK

Outbound proxy port = 5060

 

Account Details:

External Number = SIP.US Trunk Number (usually starts with ’52’)

Authentication ID = SIP.US Trunk Number (usually starts with ’52’)

Authentication Password = This is your TRUNK password, found on the SIP.US control panel

Simultaneous Calls = Number of SIP Trunk channels you have purchased for this trunk

7) Under the Outbound Parameters tab:

Location of the destination number:

‘To.user’ field is CHECKED

‘Request-Line_URI’ field is CHECKED

‘RemotePartyID’ Called Party is UNCHECKED

Content of SIP fields:

SIP FIELD dropdown of : From: User Part and set the VARIABLE drop-down to : "OutboundCallerID" Outbound caller Id take from Extension.

 

 8) Set up the Outbound Routes

There are 4 outbound routes, US/CANADA, International, 933, and 911 (933 will TEST your e911 registration)

 

9) If you wish to set the Outbound CallerID for an individual Extension -

Use the OTHER tab on Extension settings under Outbound CallerID field

 

  10) Setup Inbound calling

Go to the VoIP Providers > SIP.US > Source ID page: Check the box next to "Source identification by DID", SIP Field containing DID numbers: "Request Line URI: User Part", then add your DID to the list and save.

Then go to the VoIP Providers > SIP.US > DID page: Make sure the DID is listed. If not, add it.

In the Inbound Rules make sure you selected to Apply the rules to the SIP.US available port.

Make sure you always add the DID with the leading 1

 Apply and Save all changes.

    FWIW, the Inbound digits that are sent from SIP.US includes +1, not just the 1 as noted above. Change your DID/DDI Mask to include either a + or * at the start. IE: +12223331111 or *12223331111
