Connecting the Grandstream HT701 to a Sip.US SIP trunk:
1. Unbox your HT701, and connect the cables in the following order:
- Insert a standard RJ11 telephone cable into the Phone port and connect the other end of the telephone cable to a standard touch-tone analog telephone.
- Insert the Ethernet cable into the Internet or LAN port of the HT701 and connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to an uplink port (a router or a modem, etc.)
- Insert the power adapter into the HT701 and connect it to a wall outlet
2. Allow a minute or two for the HT701 to boot up and get an IP address.
3. Pick up the connected analog phone, and dial *** to enter the IVR.
4. Dial 02 to hear the assigned IP address. Write this address down.
5. Type the assigned IP address into the address bar of your web browser (Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc.) and press ‘Enter’ or ‘Search’ to access the web configuration page.
6. In the web page that opens, type admin as the password, then click Login. You will see the following page:
7. In a separate web page, log into your Sip.US account
8. Click the SIP Trunking tab, then select Trunks.
9. Collect the following information from your trunk:
- The Trunk #
- The password
- The Primary and Secondary server domain
10. Go back to the Grandstream device page, and select the FXS PORT tab
11. Enter the trunk information as shown below, using your account details collected from Sip.US where:
- SIP User ID = Trunk #
- Authenticate ID = Trunk #
- Authenticate Password = Trunk Password
12. Set NAT Traversal to STUN
13. Scroll down the page, and paste the following in the Dial Plan field: {[49]11 | [933] | 1xxx[2-9]xxxxxx | <=1>[2-9]xxxxxxxxx | <011=>x.}
14. At the bottom of the page, click Apply, then Reboot
15. Select the Advanced Settings Tab
16. Set the STUN server to stun.sip.us
17. Choose the STATUS tab, and confirm that the device shows it is registered.
18. Your Grandstream HT701 is now registered to your SIP.US SIP trunk.
