SIP.US provides a full self-service model in which customers can add, edit, or delete payment methods at any time. This guide explains how to manage your payment methods, configure multiple payment methods, and outlines minimum account requirements.
NOTE: If logged in as a sub user, please ensure your user profile has the necessary permissions to edit/access payment methods.
To reach the menu for updating payment information, users will log in to the customer portal and navigate to Payment Center > Payment Methods. The following page will display current payment methods and options to add new payment methods, including credit cards and direct bank withdrawal (ACH).
How to Add a Payment Method
All accounts are required to add a credit card when placing an initial order. This credit card then becomes the default payment method and appears under the Payment Methods page. To add additional payment methods, click on the Add Bank Account (ACH) or Add Credit Card options to load the corresponding forms.
- Credit card charges may incur additional fees
- Bank Account (ACH) withdrawal does not incur additional fees. Refer to this article for more information on Setting Up ACH Withdrawal.
- SIP.US does not store customer payment methods directly. SIP.US uses a secure, third-party vendor.
- Ensure that you always add the correct billing address associated with the payment method. If you need to change the Service Address for the account itself, update the information in the Profile tab of the customer portal.
How to Edit Existing Payment Info
Note under the Current Payment Methods section that there are three options for Update Address, Update Expiry, and delete. You can update the payment method billing address, update the payment method expiry date, or delete the payment method via these options.
NOTE: You must have at least 1 other payment method on file to delete a payment method.
How to Change Default Payment Method
If you add multiple payment methods to the account, there is an option to choose a preferred payment method. You can update the preferred payment method at any time.
NOTE: SIP.US will only charge the preferred payment method, even if the payment fails.
